Born in Glace Bay, Nova Scotia, Canada, Glenn Higgins started playing sax at age twelve. His resume of bands includes Illustration
(featured in Rolling Stone Magazine), Grant Smith & the Power, George Olliver, Crowbar, Jack Pedler and Hamilton's own Powerhouse.
Glenn is always in demand as a session player in the Toronto / Hamilton area, bringing his unique sound and talent to any project in which he is involved.
His debut endeavour,
Homeward, is a selection of six original songs and five 'jazzy' standards. The delicately
arranged tunes are a variety of jazz, latin, soul and swing melodies, each laced with Glenn's majestic
sax playing (soprano, alto, tenor) and vocals.
In 2005, this work received the Hamilton Music Awards nomination for Best R&B Album.
